Montecristo Robusto EL 2006 Live Review

We found some of these lurking in our home storage humidor and I've finally decided to smoke on.

Gonna try a live review time permitting.

Cold aroma is a bit of cocoa and some real slight floral notes. Draw is good after my punch.

Initial thoughts. Kind of a nuttiness present. Smooth draw. Burn isn't spot on but it's breezy out. Hint of cocoa.

Don't laugh at me but I swear I got a hint of rotisserie chicken. Wtf?

Creamy and fairly mild. Still nutty and fragrant. Burn evened out for the most part.

Creamy yet an earthy mouth feel. Very muted flavors and mild to medium.

No real flavor evolution. Still nuts and cream.

Getting down to where I had to take the bands off. Getting a bit above medium and some chocolate flavors emerged. Creamier mouth feel and aroma is earthy.

Thanks for the review. I picked up the Millenium Robusto in Prague last year and it was one of the best smokes I've had. Would love to try this one.

I'm not going to weigh in on this discussion as I have only had two of the P2s so far - both delicious. A curious thing though - the second P2 I smoked tasted like - are you ready for it? Roast chicken with sage and thyme seasoning. OK. I know it sounds crazy, and if I was on the Czars deck for a review I would certainly get tossed out, but the you have it.
