ptrthgr8 Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 And, dang, is this stuff smooth as silk. Lots of honey and caramel tones, nice long finish. Goes really well with the '07 Muralla I'm smoking right now. Get some. You won't be disappointed. Cheers, ~ Greg ~ Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.
Marker Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Love that stuff G. I will get a bottle after I get my Buffalo Trace antique series.
ptrthgr8 Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 Good call, J. Let me know how the antique is. I love the standard Buffalo Trace. I bet the antique is great! Cheers, ~ Greg ~ Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.
maverickdrinker Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 good stuff indeed. I missed the opportunity to pick up the buffalo trace antique collection.
assassin Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 It is the goods, my fav. single malt and at a resonable price point.
LexG Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 that sounds delish, 1 more for the shopping list
Lotusguy Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 They once had it at my local Costco for a killer price - I still regret only picking up two bottles and not two cases...

ptrthgr8 Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 And it's funny because I didn't look at the proof level before taking the pic. I never would have guessed it was 95.6 proof. It's so smooth it feels more like a standard 80 proof. This might just be my favorite Balvenie now... though the 21 YO Portwood is hard to beat. But for the price (US$85 locally) it's impossible to beat, methinks. Cheers, ~ Greg ~ Sent from my HTC Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.
winelover Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Thanks. Good detail on the label re provenance and a special bottle. l wish we could set something similar on our CCs.
