Photo for my picture

I have tried to upload a photo from "my pictures" on my computer to my profile picture. The photo, as are most all of the photo's in My Pictures, is about 960Kb in size. When I download it to this site, a message comes up that says the maximum size allowed in 50Kb. I'm not computer literate, so I'm wondering if there is a way to change this photo so it can be downloaded to my profile.

Any help would be appreciated.

Resize the image, using whatever photo software is on your computer. If you have a PC, use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to edit the pic.

tinypic.com is pretty simple for doing such, just upload there and choose what format(size) you want to resize to.
