sbmcduffee
So I am getting set to make an order from a vendor and wanted to include another C&C box. After searching sizes and prices, I have it down to two: the Upmann Majestic and the Super Partagas. Identical size and price bearing names I trust and have enjoyed in the past. So, any thoughts on either of these? Thanks in advance. Prosellis
gigabyte056
Super Partagas, Love them. Also someone made a review around the C&C forum, comparing most Partagas C&C. It is much more full bodied so I like it better to the Upmann which are very mild
dangolf18
I think C&C is Cheap and Cheerful in this case...
sbmcduffee
Thanks gents. I only smoke one or two cigars per week and try to alternate as much as possible, so a good portion of whichever I end up with could potentially see some age. It is quite a good point about the potential for immediate smokability though.
mazolaman
I'd go with the super Partagas, and agree with SP above, check out the review of the Partagas Cheapies. I'd also consider the Hoyo Palmas extra, ready to smoke.
dB69
My vote to the opinion of SP and The Traveller. I would go for Super Partagas. Young Partagases are sometimes very peppery and will mellow when aged. However, Super Partagas is not the strongest Partagas out there. H.Upmanns are sometimes quite dull when young and will share flavours only after aging. These are just average comments, there sure are exceptions within each marque and even within each box. Have to add that one year is not aging, it's storing IMHO.
