One of my favourite photo's

I lost most of my data and have been trying to recover as many photo's as I can.

Ran across these two. Some of you may have seen them before.

The first photo is of Jose Candia in the background with Hamlet in the fore. Two great mates. Love them dearly. This was in the days when Hamlet still drank. That is another story for another time

The second photo is of Jose Candia when serving with the Cuban Army in Angola. Now some of you have met Jose, one of the great pacifists of all time They were fighting the South Africans at the time (he was drafted). Jose always recounts that when he had an "enemy" in his sights he would fire into the ground at the last second. Could never shoot another human being in a cause he never believed in. God bless him. He is on the left. "Lobito" his good friend whom I have met is on the right (now living in the US). Jose looks abot 16

OMG!!!! Those pictures are awesome. Hamlet looks like an extra from the set of Pirates of the Carribean!!!

Great pictures, glad you retrieved them Rob. I had not known Cuba had any interest in Angola. Checked wiki if anyone else is interested; rather long story!

Wish I could say these were my photos. These were given to my wife on one of her many trips to Cuba. She used to go to Quinta y Dieciseis once a month to pick out boxes and these were given to her by Carlitos.
