Last night I booked a vacation to an all inclusive resort in Jibacoa, Cuba! I've wanted to go for a few years now so to say I'm stoked about going is an understatement!!! Already planning a couple day trips to Havana.

Are you staying at breezes ?

Best suggestion is to rent taxi for 6 hours or so, it's 45 mins to Havana. You can hire a classic yank tank as well. "business card" below !

We are indeed staying at the Breezes. From what I've heard there is not much else in Jibacoa. I selected it for it's close proximity to Havana and was planning on doing as you said. Thanks for the pic of the card I'll probably use it  Do you remember how much that put you back?

The official taxi rate is 90 cuc for the 6 hours. Those guys will be slightly less

There is nothing in Jibacoa!

Take a mask and snorkel as there is a line if rock waist deep from the edge of the water with fish to see. A banana from breakfast is the best way to attract them. Smoking is allowed on the 2 piano bar balconies.

Is the boss going to let you hunt down the custom rolleds in Havana ?

Have a wonderful trip... if you have time to spare, check out a bus trip to Vinales... stay a night or two at the smaller hotel up the hill, looking down on the valley and town. Beautiful. It's a 3 hour drive from Havana though, but you can explore caves, ride horses, and see tobacco fields. Heaven.
