Tan1801 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 A HQ Bolivar Petit Corona with the box code TEB MAR08 which I received as part of a trade with Bster. Pre light thoughts: One slight mark on the wrapper below the band. Nicely packed foot. Earthy tobacco smell. First third: Slightly tight draw. Nice chocolate/cocoa flavour (might be the dark chocolate I ate earlier. Coffee slight coffee hints. Mild white pepper through the nose. Second third: Chocolate has died down a little. Medium coffee taste prevalent in this third. Earthy taste creeping in mid way through this third. Final third: Same flavours as the second third, only their becoming stronger. Coffee, earth and a little bit of spice. Overall thoughts: Loved this cigar. Not overly complex with good solid flavours throughout. Haven't had too many Bolivar, with my last being a Royal Coronas that from memory was good but not great. This PC on the other hand . I will definitely have to get myself some in the near future when finances allow. Pics:
Tan1801 Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 Forgot to add, thank you Brendan for the great smoke.
canadianbeaver Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Thanks for this review. Glad you liked it so much as mine are on their way from the last LFTH.
bassman Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I recently opened a cab of 08 BPCs & it is indeed a superb batch. Strong & earthy, the way a Bolivar should taste.
