Loki Posted December 2, 2005 Posted December 2, 2005 » Holy Lord ....when did they stop alcohol at Brunch!!!!!!!!! Hey Prez I didn't say that they eliminated booze. One ,not myself, tends to consume less early in the day. Less chance of getting pulled over mid-day than at night. I start with a double bourbon.:-D
Spud2 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Damn, I must work for one of the best companies around, bonus is equal to a about 20% of my base salary (before taxes). Is based on performance, company employes about 250 people. Just wish I was making six figures. :-)
lfg2nrg Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I get a cash bonus every year. I turn it into cigars pretty fast.
El Presidente Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Thankyou all for your input. I will need to re-assess the Christmas bonus of a FOH cap, a hug and KFC takeaway. Smitty will particularly miss the hug. ;-)
PigFish Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 As CZ Shill number 1... I will settle for cigars!!! -Piggy
ilikecigars Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 ive always recieved a cash bonus along with a large party out on the town from any past employers......... however if i worked for you i would rather a few boxes of fine habanos and a week off, away from all the wacko's on this board...lol
J-ROD Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 The company I work for throws 2 Christmas parties, 1 for the kids to attend with you (Santa and kids entertainment are at this one) and 1 for you and your spouse (or significant other), open bar and a very good meal, followed by some type of entertainment (comedians, magicians, or music). They do give out profit sharing check, but they don't arrive until late Feb.
TR Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 no christmas bonus here. we do have a christmas party and a christmas luncheon.......so it is really just food and booze.
Guest gorob23 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Teachers getting a Christams bonus :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry you were being serious. That doesn't happen at all. We have a breakfast that has bad food that we have to PAY for IF we go..I usually just go get a cup of joe at the local coffee house... anybody that gets ANYTHING that ******* about it, well it is better than nothing:-| Rob
n2advnture Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 We get cash based on years of service and the year's profit. You CAN'T go wrong with cash: 1.) It helps pay for the holiday bills 2.) People can ALWAYS use more money 3.) People usually feel under paid (for the most part) 4.) It's easier for you
guilow Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 »...but handing out cash just makes me feel like I am picking up » hookers on a street corner I'm sure the people receiving the cash don't feel like a hooker. Cash is the best present!
MikeDeSilva1 Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Since I am somewhat remote from my company's headquarters and get to work from home....we don't get ****. Several years ago we got $100 gift cards, but no more.....:-( Mike
swl Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 My performance is now paid out in March. Many many many years ago it was paid out by the company's Christimas Party but not anymore. We still have the party (by business area and departments) but that's it.
Smokin_Safari Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Prez, I'd only suggest what your tax agent probably already has - a couple of mid-week vouchers to Twin Waters Resort or Lady Elliot Island as "team building".
Colt45 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Here's a couple of ideas for "well thought out" personal gifts:
