OZCUBAN Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Dear friends There are less than 18 months until election day when the people will decide who will be the next prime minister of Australia. The person elected will be the prime minister of all Australians, not just the Liberals or Labor. It¹s time that we all need to come together, Liberals and Laborites alike, in a bi-partisan effort for Australia. If you will support Tony Abbott, please drive with your headlights ON during the day. If you support Julia Gillard, please drive with your headlights OFF at night. Together, we can make it happen. Thank you!

So what your saying is Abbot will be elected in a landslide style victory because all of Gillards supporters will have mysteriously died in car accidents?
OZCUBAN Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 So what your saying is Abbot will be elected in a landslide style victory because all of Gillards supporters will have mysteriously died in car accidents? Exactly
Fuzz AI Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Can't we just shoot them both and pick somebody else? Gillard is as dense as depleted uranium and Abbott is so slick he makes snake oil salesmen look like Mother Theresa. Can't we just vote in the Australian Sex Party?
chr0nic Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Can't we just vote in the Australian Sex Party? I think Rob should start the "Friends of Habanos" party. There would be smoking in the street
Fuzz AI Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I think Rob should start the "Friends of Habanos" party. There would be smoking in the street According to the AEC: Read or print the Party Registration Guide and Current Register of Political Parties on the AEC website. Develop the name and purpose of the political party. Form a committee, develop a draft constitution and hold an inaugural meeting. Seek party members to join your party. Check their enrolment status on the AEC website. Have you reached 500–550 members checked on the electoral roll? (No = return to previous step. Yes = continue to next step.) Complete application for party registration and attach all documents plus $500 application fee. Lodge with the AEC. The AEC will assess documents against the Electoral Act and independently check membership. AEC will advertise the application if it passes initial assessment. AEC approves advertisement? (No = AEC issues a notice to remedy application, return to previous step. Yes = continue to next step.) After at least one month the AEC can make a final decision in light of any public objections and the party's response to them. Is the party registered? (No = consider appeal if there are grounds, or remedy problems and try again. Yes = continue to next step.) Maintain the party and service the members. I'm sure we can find 500 people to join up for a nominal $1 fee to cover the application costs.
chr0nic Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I'm sure we can find 500 people to join up for a nominal $1 fee to cover the application costs. I think this would be awesome... I mean, just for the publicity alone. There would have to be at least a dozen papers that would write an editorial and express out views. Even if they just printed it as a "hey, look what these guys are doing" it would get exposure. Let's get the C*NTA movement political! For just $1 C*NTA members you too could help promote "El Presidente" to "El Prime Minister"!
MIKA27 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 So what your saying is Abbot will be elected in a landslide style victory because all of Gillards supporters will have mysteriously died in car accidents? Not quite true because Gillard has no supporters, she was NEVER elected by Australians, just here own stupid backstabbing electorate. Bunch of monkeys.
winelover Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Come on El Pres for Pres sorry PM! Smithy campaign manager, KG strategist / inhouse counsel, Lisa party secretary, Di chief fund raiser etc.
Fii28 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I think Rob should start the "Friends of Habanos" party. There would be smoking in the street At least it would be a party of passionate real people standing up for something they believe in & know to be of true benefit to many in a miriade of ways! Rather than what we have now-a bunch of namby pamby idiots 'following' other idiots! I'm running out of options at voting time, the donkey always looks good
