Ken Gargett Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 this from the report in the guardian... "Like Ireland earlier in the day, Wales were beaten by refereeing decisions". sometimes, you'd swear we play different games under different rules. given wales spent more time offside than not, and sealed off more rucks more effectively than i've seen a team do for years, that is a bit rich. it could also have been, when they were ahead with about 60 seconds to go, that they kicked the ball back to the wallabies instead of having the sense of a dimwitted fourth grade schoolboy player and keep the ball in hand till the final whistle. stupid play cost the welsh, not the ref (and given he was a kiwi, i hate finding myself in any way defending him). but seriously good under pressure kick to win by harris - from out near the sideline after the hooter. great stuff.
