Cohiba Stevie Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Im a realistic man, ive never for one second thought that my country will get to the group stages of the euros... But that was an abysmal display of international football even by irelands standard, 3 of the goals conceded tonight were just plain daft. I was actually drinkin with irelands keeper a few months ago who told me the team dynamic had change since trappatoni took over, i didnt see any dynamic on that pitch tonight. Beating ireland 4-0 is no great win by spains standards but i do admit they are looking like a great side. I done a bet with my local bookies and got 10-1 odds on a spain/germany final. The bets looking good so far and if it comes through will get me nice box from the czar!
cgarner Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Just watched the. I thing Ireland forgot to show up in the 2nd half.
CaptainQuintero Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Luck of the draw I think, if you had been in group A you'd be a shoe in for getting through.
ckearns Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Although Ireland did what they were expected to do, as a fan there's nothing wrong with being hopeful of a different outcome. Anything can happen after all. I was at Giants stadium in '94 when Ireland did the unthinkable and beat Italy at the world cup. Now that was an experience! Here's hoping for future success for the team.
