gigabyte056 Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Picked a couple of these up in one of Havana's LCDH. Paired with Havana club rum anejo 15 anos No sheen to wrapper, a bit dusty and seems quite aged. No soft spots, cigar seems firm and very well maintained. First 1/3 Medium bodied,Smooth toasted tobacco, no distinct flavors. on retrohale some muted woody peppery taste. the cigar is very smooth and dare I say respectable. Second 1/3 Still medium bodied, but the flavors are coming out and are real easy to spot. I have almonds with lashes of creamy chocolate. Also some honey with almonds. Last 1/3 Cigar burns razor sharp, no corrections or relighting needed. still medium bodied with the almonds/honey/chocolate flavors. truly a very good cigar, one of the most refined cigars I had in a long time. sorry for the lack of pictures, smoked it yesterday night and only now decided to review it in hopes of raking in the sampler.
isa Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Very nice review there, thanks - am on the lookout for some good siglo II
Ophidion Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 The thread title is supposed to have "cigar review competition" in the topic description. Aka the box under the thread title. Just wanted to point that out. Great review though. The siglo II is pretty much my favorite Cohiba right behind the lancero.
maverickdrinker Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Siglo IIs. My favorite mareva. Thanks for the review.
