brazoseagle
The Guard - 2011 Don Cheadle Brendon Gleeson Sergeant Gerry Boyle is a small-town Irish cop with a confrontational personality, a subversive sense of humor, a dying mother, a fondness for prostitutes, and absolutely no interest whatsoever in the international cocaine-smuggling ring that has brought straight-laced FBI agent Wendell Everett to his door. Great Movie!!! Definitely worth a watch.
TankerT
I really enjoyed this movie. Definitely not one to watch with children around. Some pretty harsh language as well.
mazolaman
Good film. Brendan Gleeson plays the lead, and is his usual brilliant self. Don Cheedle is also very good as the American cop sent to Ireland. A classic tale of the yokel policeman playing all sides to his advantage, not always for the good of everyone else. Sometimes toughing on bleak reality. Gleeson makes this film. Ryan
Really liked this too, although I got the feeling that sometimes Don Cheedle (who I've liked since he wore that wig in Boogie Nights) didn't really know where he was or what he was supposed to do. Pat Short as the idiot IRA-member was great.
