Miner Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Sunday in Perth Oz Couple of jobs to do then its BHK 54 on the patio. The last job was to clean up the bikes after a week of riding around Rottnest Island (google it!) Bikes are clean but it involved a lot of degreaser and WD40. Was about to sit down with the BHK and a glass of shiraz but wait!! My fingers smelt like a oil sump, not good when I'm about to smoke an amazing cigar. So a bit of soap and scrubbing and the oil smell is still there. Now what?? But then I found a really good use for the NC's that I don't smoke anymore. Picked out the most horrible sample of Nicaraguan's best and crumbled it between my fingers, crunched it up, reduced the leaves to dust. Great, WD40 all gone and I could settle down. And I have to tell you that the BHK 54 was fab, lots of wood, not a cigar I would smoke every day but today it was perfect. Cheers PS I'm so glad I found a use for those NC's I have !!
riazp Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Well all's well that ends well. I'm looking foward to that moment where I smoke a bhk 54 for the first time. Dont know when that will be yet though.
maverickdrinker Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 What are these BHK 54s? They sound fantastic
carnivalhobo Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Had my first BHK 54 the other night with two friends. I think the 52 is better, but certainly not disappointed with the 54. Can't really imagine the 56, just seems like too much. I agree with the woodiness, got some creamy, grassy cohiba goodness as we transitioned into the final 3rd.

davidsan Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I think I enjoyed the 54 more than I liked the 52. Although I did let the 54 sit in my humidor a few more months than the 52. The 56 is too big a commitment for me.
