What was your first CC box purchase?

San Cristobal de la Habana La Punta from March of 08. From Rob. Still have 12 or 13 left and they have gotten much, much better. I liked them initially but more so now. I bought them without ever trying one. I was just getting into the PSP program and saw this box and snatched it up.

My first box was back in 2009. Purchased them in Canada while skiing with my brother @ Whistler. I think I paid a little of $600 for a box of Montecristo Sublime EL 2008. Damn those were good cigars. Up until that point I had been smoking NCs exclusively. That cigar really opened my eyes and palate. They were so good, I didn't even mind that they cost me over 6 C-notes...

My first box of cc:s were a 25-ct box of RASS from April -07. A pity only half of it is left, because they're really, really good now. I bought them blind on recommendation from a very good friend who is also a BOTL.

Not a hard recall for me, because I've only had bought them recently. My first box was a 10 box of Montecristo No. 2s (the classic reputation got the better of me), box code ROA JUN 11. Handsome, certainly not PSP, but have yet to try them as I wait for the 60 day mark in my humidor to pass. It's killing me. Newbie question: as the cigars are arranged darker to lighter, left to right (not a drastic difference, but noticeable), should I start with a darker one, giving the lighter ones more time?

Nope. Won't make a lick of difference. The age is not the source of the color difference.

My story is much like Shlomo's... the first proper boxes I've bought were from the Czar: BBF and PL Montecarlos. Love those little panatelas.

I went nuts on my last trip to Cuba and brought back about 6 boxes to split between family and friends.

Now I have no room in my humidor but I have plans for the future...

Bought my first since joining FOH a few weeks ago. Party Shorts from another online retailer that i was kindly recommended by another FOHer, closely followed by a box of Dip 2s from the good folks at Czar. The shorts are smoking great right out of the box and i am trying hard to leave the Dip 2s to rest for a while...no easy task

I've been buying singles and 3 packs for a few years but only recently bought my first cabinets of CC's. Punch PC HQ box and a cab of Boli RC HQ both bought through FOH and without a doubt some of the best stock I've ever smoked.
