zathan Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 If any of you travel to Cuba and buys cigars, please let me know the prices you paid for your cigars. I am keeping a list of prices for cigars in Cuba and the more people can confirm prices, the more accurate the list will be and the more helpful it will be for everyone. Thanks! http://yulcigars.blogspot.com/

bigfunkyg Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I have used the site before as a reference and its a great source however this might be in violation of the fourm rules (no mention of prices). Might want to check with a moderator before proceeding. G
fred170 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 La Habana is a vibrant city. As a tourist, you will pay CUC for all goods. Buy only from LCDH so you can assure you are getting the good stuff. There are individuals that sell cigars in the street but be aware that most of these smokes are the rejects from the various cigar factories...

Ishmael Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Thanks for this list. It will no doubt make sending mules easier. Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up a box of Allones Extras or Trinidad T's? I would like to make my instructions fool proof.
Dara Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Thanks for this list. It will no doubt make sending mules easier. Can anyone recommend a good place to pick up a box of Allones Extras or Trinidad T's? I would like to make my instructions fool proof. I saw both inside the humidor of the shop in the Hotel Nacional 2 weeks ago....the Allones extras were being picked up quite quickly though!
zathan Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Thanks for the updates gentlement, they will find their way into the list shortly.
zathan Posted March 30, 2012 Author Posted March 30, 2012 Updated, thanks to all once again and Blackham, you found some rarities. Nice haul mate.
audio1der Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I didn't really look at prices lol. They had RA Extras at both the Plaza de Americas and Vara 63rd LCDHs on March 18th.
bigfunkyg Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 As long as the powers that be are OK, with this then I'm happy to contribute. However, everything that seem accurate already! One exception was the Monte Grand Edmundo LE 2010 was $106 CUC per 10 box not, 105 that was in December 2011. I have the official receipt to prove it! Great site and a very useful resource. Garrett
zathan Posted March 30, 2012 Author Posted March 30, 2012 Hi Garrett, thanks for the info but I bought a box of GE myself and paid $105 CUC for it. And how is portage avenue doing since the Jets are back?
sg1234 Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I was in Cuba earlier this month and bought the following (if memory serves me): RASCC (box of 25) 73.75 CUC - purchased at LCDH 5th and 16th Cohiba 1966 EL11 (single) 24.50 CUC - purchased at the LCDH in Conde de Villanueva Upmann Royal Robustos (2 singles) 7 CUC - purchased at the LCDH in Conde de Villanueva RA Allones Extra EL11 (single) 6.15 CUC - purchased at the LCDH in Conde de Villanueva I would have bought more cigars, but the ATM at the Banco Metropolitano on 23rd in Vedado ate my bank card and I couldn't get a replacement before we left the country. Luckily I had traveler's checks as a backup or else I would have been really screwed.
