I'm tempted to think the only thing worse than a great overpriced LE is a crap overpriced LE...

I've had a few Monte Sublimes LE 08's recently and been really disappointed.

They've been simple, one dimensional and boring... and tight

Just had a Monte No 2 and I'm in heaven for half the asking price

Anyone enjoyed that LE recently?

Anyone want to swap a couple for something good? Maybe a couple of No 2's

Hi Julian, what was the box code on your monte2? Sorry to hear about the Sublimes but as they are a purportedly highly rated LE I am sure dsome people would be happy to trade. BTW - did you realise that there is a private forum (within FOH) for these kinds of posts? G

Same experience here, with 2 boxes from 2 different sources… Mine were not tight, they were turbo-chimneys providing a thin, bland smoke… I sold them. Good riddance.

You'll have no trouble getting rid of them - they are in VERY high demand. PM me if you'd like to make a trade. I see you don't have enough posts yet to post in our "trading" subforum.

I happen to think they are the best LE I have ever tasted. I still don't smoke them very often, though, due to the very large vitola which doesn't suit my preferences too much.

Interesting, I'm definitely missing out then, I got 6 from a friend so I dont have the box code. Smoked 4 so far and all have been the same.

Good to know most people have enjoyed them, I wont be so down on poor Monte.

I'll swap them and be really interested to hear what someone else makes of the remaining 2.

seriously though, i think that they have become better recently, maybe coming out of thier sick phase. i found them great ROTT however, a couple i had last year (some gifted, 1 for my anniversary) were ok. had 1 a few weeks ago and it was fantastic!!!!

hold them for awhile. i think that you'll be glad you did.

Each one of these I have had... has been a phenomenal cigar. Each one has been just fantastic.

There are reports of a LOT of fakes on these going around.
