jlacava88 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 One of the unfortunate realities about living in Toronto is living through our cold winters without being able to enjoy a CC! Fortunately for us, this year, we have not had an overwhelmingly cold winter by any stretch... (still not cigar weather). Had a pretty mild day and could not resist the urge any more of looking (daily) in through my glass top humidor. Pulled out my Monte No 1.... I've been drooling over this for awhile... purchased it from the czar about a year ago, but noticed that it still had the old montecristo band on it, so it has some age to it. First glance, beautiful cedary notes with hints of creamy coffee. Such a smooth finish on the cigar with subtle leather flavours at the end.. definitely one of my favourite CCs!

Been trying to find some more just like over the years and havent had much luck. Sounds like I should give them another try. What is the date of the one you reviewed?

Actually the box code is a mystery to me!.. I purchased a mix of singles from the czar about a year ago, this no.1 was apart of them.
winelover Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I went through a box of czar monte 1s and found them faultless and absolutely superb. This was pre PE/HQ/PSP. There are many naysers out there but I am a true believer in the no.1. Also a great thin RG stick.
