KB24 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 So what can anyone tell me about the cigars sold at the El Presidente Hotel in Havana? -Patrick
KB24 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 No, my buddy just got back and stayed at a Casa Particulare right around the corner from the El Presidente Hotel. He said that him and the group he was with got their cigars from that hotel. I told him to only look for LCDH's but he said they walked around Havana for 3 straight days and he didn't see one. He's not a big cigar guy so it wasn't important to him. He was there on a Bachelor Party. I am considering in the next year or so trying to get a group together to go. My buddy told me how easy it was to go, no questions asked. He went through Mexico City, bought some sort of Visa in the airport in Mexico City, and that is what they stamped when he went through customs in Cuba. I'd like to go with a group that has already been and perhaps knows the ropes and has the connections. -Patrick
compitaveggie Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Singles anywhere in Cuba are hit or miss. Boxes with official paperwork is best bet. I stayed at one of the best hotels, the Parque Central and the cigar shop plenty of fake singles. In fact i saw at least a few fale singles in every cigar store i went to, Cohiba being the most faked
maverickdrinker Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 There is no cigar roller at the presidente unless something has changed some I was there in november
