I'd just like to say hi to all the guys and gals on the forums here.

I'm an employee at a cigar store in Toronto Ontario Canada and just like to be a part of the culture anywhere and everywhere I can be.

If anyone has questions i would be more than happy to answer!

Welcome to the forum.

I think Clint makes a good point regarding cigar merchants worldwide.

But you are welcome here!

You don't have to give your name, as many here don't. I wouldn't try any advertising though!

Bought from your store in the past (from as recently as 5 years ago, to as long ago as 12 years back). Can't speak to what Clint states, as last recollections of my purchasing from you were all done via online/mail.

Welcome to the forums - mazolaman's comments echo my thoughts exactly.

Cheers and welcome.

Thanks to all for the well wishes :)

clint there is quite a bit to reply to in your post and I am going to attempt to do it in a way that doesn't advertise the store in any way. First from a year ago to now the staff has almost entirely changed, I know the employees that you are speaking of and to be honest I felt in many ways the same when I was just a customer as well. When talking about browsing the selection there are certain things to consider about not only this shop but about all cigar shops especially in Toronto and the GTA, locations of cigars regularly change as well as new cigars coming in and personally I rather be pointed towards things that I haven't seen before than get caught up in to much selection. Keep in mind the times of day and the number of employees present for the number of customers as well, we have had issues with the waiting times for some customers because others choose to monopolize time of the employees. My main issue with certain people in all of my retail jobs has been that customers get in there heads that they are far more important than any others that wish top make purchases. I don't mean this in any sort of disrespectful way just that when I am in a small store with limited resources I try to give the person working as much help as possible since I have had to live through it quite enough. The other thing to keep in mind is that we have a very high energy staff that is a bit off the wall sometimes and that many of us are more than just regular smokers and personally I smoked 90% of our humidor and as such I can tell you about almost any cigar and am more than eager to share my knowledge. I understand where you are coming from and I am personally sorry if we ever made you feel uncomfortable at any point.

maverickdrinker thanks for the welcome but I will not share my name.

mazolaman being a tobacco retailer in any part of the world is difficult and not a business to be entered without facing much adversity, also thanks for the warning but I have no intentions of advertising, I'm just here to be part of the community and to expand my knowledge base.

Welcome!

I've bought from the store a couple of times in the past 2 years and have had good experiences in both. I actually bought my current humidor from you guys. You're also the only place that I've seen with My Father sticks!

As for what the others were saying, I've felt that before, not particular to this shop but in others. Its truly annoying.
