Hi there....... Oddly enough, an entire thread which I had started in the humidor forum has gone missing. I believe it was called "wine cooler conversion" or something like that... There were a number of helpful posts in the thread, and nothing whatsoever that would violate the term of use for the forum.... could it just be something that was deleted accidentally as a result of the maintenance the other night? I checked my personal profile, and there is no record of any of the posts I had made in the thread itself. Very strange.... Am I missing something?

Cheers,

Ryan

Ryan it may be a glitch. I will try and find it for you but I am made aware of anything untoward (posts/threads/etal) and I have seen nothing on this one. When approximately did you post it?

Hi there Rob,

Thank you for looking into this. I started the thread just a few days after Christmas. It isn't a huge loss, but I know for a fact that the only jab was directed at my carpet (which of course, I agree is dreadful).

Anyway, thanks again for looking into it, and thank you for those delightful video cigar reviews.

Cheers,

Ryan

:covermouth: Guilty.

Cheers, Dart. :whistle::blush:

With playfulness aside, I hope his thread does get found Rob. It was nice to see what he was doing.

Hi Dartfrogger,

When was the thread posted?

Rackspace performed a data centre migration last weekend and moved their San Antonio servers to Chicago. This happened on Jan 15 and Rackspace has acknowledged that their may have been some data loss in the process, which would account for missing threads.

The data loss shouldn't date back any further than Jan 15 however, otherwise we'd be missing all data since the date that thread was posted, which doesn't appear to be the case.

We've had reports of missing member registrations too, but again, it shouldn't be any earlier than Jan 15.

We're also experiencing intermittent database connection issues. This is upstream from us at Rackspace's MySQL cluster level (hence the "no suitable nodes could be found" error message) and should resolve as soon as they overcome the teething issues of setting up the new data center.

Sorry guys, we're riding the crest of Rackspace's migration wave and it's out of our hands. I could potentially perform a database restore of my own to retrieve any lost threads, but we'd lose all data from this week with the added potential of corrupting the existing database and losing the lot, which isn't a desirable outcome!

Hi! Does the same apply to my Vegas Herf Thread (poll)? It was started before January 1...

Hi there Refresh.....

My thread (wine cooler conversion, or something like that) was posted between Christmas and New Years. I know it wasn't after New years, because my humidor from the thread in question was a major conversation piece at my NYE party.

Cheers,

Ryan
