Bigpond Email Outage - a special offer from Google

Bigpond, probabily Australia's biggest email server has been off line for nearly 24 hours.

I googled the news section of Google and got the following:

I declined to take their offer to set up an email alert.

i have hours of stories but it is hard to beat the night i had finally had a gutful and said to the imbecile on the end of the phone, 'is there anyone there with any brains that i could speak to?'

response, and i swear that this is true - 'no sir, we are the technical department'. said it all.

i used to say that if given the choice to press a button that would rid the world of telstra or of bin laden, i hope that his cave collapses because it was farewell the scum. now, they have nothing with which to compare.

Maybe an ignorant question, but why not use hotmail or google mail instead?

not too good with the tech stuff but i gather anything of consequence backs off these idiots. and they do the full package stuff. sadly, i struggle to get any other connection.
