laficion Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 OK Ken, all that is fine and dandy, yes I love them all. BUT It's the first time I check in today and It's now 9.30pm and NO STORE OPENED AT THIS HOUR !!!!!
ckearns Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 That's a nice article. Thanks for posting the link. Peated whiskies are like a drug to me. As much as I try to branch out and discover other whisky styles, I keep coming back to them. This kind of speaks to their quality because substantially all of them are decent whiskies. I reckon you could put the top 10 in any order and it would still be a strong list. And Guy... that's why you always have to have an emergency bottle on hand!
mazolaman Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Some great whiskies there, personally, it's Bruichladdich for me..
riazp Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Ralfy named the bruichladdich 10yr his malt of the year...
mazolaman Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I saw a half bottle of this the other day, think it's a new release, new I should have bought it.... I like it more than other Islays as it doesn't over do the peat, allowing other flavours to come through.
Guest Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 Good to see Ardbeg up there even we know that it has gone too commercial now and trying to keep up with demands (can i drop brand names here)...
hidechen Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I will go for Laphroaig, Ardberg, and Lagavulin!!
bebster Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I know it's getting a bit commercialised but I can't go past the Ardbeg. I have a bottle of the 2010 Supernova and it's absolutely amazing - my all time favourite whisky. The Lagavulin 16 is also pretty special.
winelover Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Just picked up a bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask ABV48% for £25. I've only tried the ten and before and liked that so I am looking forward to trying this one, especially as it was 20% off
