Cohiba Stevie Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Ok maybe im goin a little crazy here, but of the last 3 dress boxes i have been smoking: partagas shorts, rascc and bolivar petit coronas... The cigar at the far right end of the top row has been plugged on all 3 boxes! I pick my first cigar as the one furthest right on the top row and work my way left when smoking them, its just habit i guess, but surley this cannot be a coincidence? All other cigars in the same boxes have been excellent, but just that particular stick in each box, It definatley worries me when its the first cigar of that particular box and makes me wonder what the rest will be like... Can anybody shed any light on this? All these boxes were bought in cuba if that helps. Many thanks gents.
Guest rob Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Did you store the boxes in the same way (direction etc?) Maybe something to do with your storage conditions.
Guest airmikey Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 every since i started storeing my cigars... cc and nc at an rh of 58-61...no plugges or draw issues..just my 2 cents.
NJP Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I have been troubled by this as well. The shorts and Boli PC young boxes have had about 7 **** plugged in each. I have turfted a few and kept the others in a dryer desk top humi I have to see if they will free up
mazolaman Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 How old are these? In my experience, there was a period up to about mid 09, where there were far more poorly rolled cigars. I had a 10 box of hq Lusis, where 5 were plugged! I find this happens less and less, with later cigars. There will always be the odd one, this is a Cuban hand made product! I guess storage could also be an issue.
cigaraholic Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I think it's just coincidence but I also think that's the last cigar packed into the box. That's why the one on the far left usually looks bigger, maybe they just got squeezed too much. Just like being last in a full elevator.
MoneyPit Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Sounds like just a coincidence but I'll try to be conscious of it next time I open a box.
