Punch Sabrosos are a Punch Piramide and one of the PCC Regional Releases for 2011.

I must say the boxes are gorgeous

I will do a progressive review as I smoke this one.

Slight sweet barnyard aroma. Perfect construction perfect draw. Mushroom on the draw at cold

Takes to flame readily

initially Medium + on the palate...full through the nose. I will let this one now settle into stride.

Started with wet forest floor characters. Woody but rich. Evolving quickly with some real finesse. Cream, Mushroom, quality toasted tobacco.

Very enjoyable. Body above medium with a lovely thick mouth feel. The cigar has some real depth of flavour although it is hard to describe.....savoury roast elements with a touch of cream.

So far....so bloody good.

Coming to an end. Increased woodiness last third with sweet overlayings. The aroma as commented on by Smithy is intoxicating.

Where does it sit in the Punch Pantheon? (Good comment Tom).

To me it is a mix of the Punch Petit Corona del Punch and the Punch Petit Punch ....just in a Piramide Format. It has the richness, some woodiness, some spice, cream and a depth of flavour that I can only reconcile to those formats.

Enjoyable now...certainly. However it has 5 -10 years+ of legs as a cigar to age. I would certainly give it 12 months to revisit...perhaps not.

I will put together some 5 packs for you to try. Smoke one, let me know your thoughts and put the rest aside.
