artie beetson RIP

very much saddened to hear of the passing of that great qlder and australian, artie beetson. one of the all time great footy players.

i remember the roar when he led queensland out at lang park for the first origin and when he came from a mile away to belt his club teammate, mick cronin, which very much epitomised the feeling for origin. you could feel the vibrations in the stands.

always a character. remember how he have a chat at the pub when serving beers.

huge man in every way.

will be greatly missed.
