I've had about 4 of the choir supreme all from different boxes and all above a year of box age, but I was underwhelmed. Lackluster. But it's interesting that when aged how everyone says they are so sweet and great. Not that the few I've had were grubby, just meh wouldn't buy em. In my opinion anyway

The box I had from Jun 07 was floral, fruity and generally fantastic. I recently opened a box from May 09 that are way too harsh for immediate consumption; has anyone else experienced this with more recent production?

Thanks

My Cab from '07 are bitter and harsh, but it are very slowly evolving and I am hoping to get what I want from them. might take 5 more years at this rate.

Last one I had was very disappointing, so much so I wouldnt have the heart or the patience to lay them down for a while, I honestly don't see much potential in these. Just my two cents.

I've always found them just ok, nothing compared to the Grandes de España,

but they did find a way, as always, to get rid of the Grandes de España anyway :frown:

Clearly not GdE territory but that is like criticizing a PSD4 for not reaching the heights of the SDC 1.

ERDM Choix Supreme need several years to mature. I would say 8-15 years for best results.

ERDM is old-school. No shortcuts. Buy now. Forget about them. Thank me later.
