Stalebread Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I haven’t put my work out there competitively since I was doing metalsmithing in the mid to late ‘80’s. But I decdied to give it a shot with the collages and mixed-media stuff. Recently had a piece accepted to the 2011 National Collage Society 27th Annual Juried (On-Line) Exhibition. Around 207 artists submitted 389 pieces of which 149 were accepted. So, there among the pretty collages on the second page is Cigar80. Kinda warms my heart. Here’s a LINK. And here are a couple of recent pieces: Not sure I'll keep this one. Was just trying out some new pastels. Image size is about 7.5 X 7.5 inches. Here it is with a little more development. Mixed media/collage. Actual size is 5.5 X 8.5. Mixed mdia/collage. Actual size 4 X 6.
laficion Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 That's great Ken, well done. Congratulations.
dB69 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Congratulations! And as always, very nice work!
thechenman Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Congrats. Great stuff as usual. Good luck with the competition.
mazolaman Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 You're work is never stale, Mr Bread. Love the nature of it, is it smoking ephemera, stuff in progress while smoking?
Stalebread Posted November 16, 2011 Author Posted November 16, 2011 . Thanks for the kind words, Guys. Something's always in progress, Mr. Mazola. Sometimes I make notes or sketches while I'm smoking but mostly I just smoke when I smoke. .
