Hi All,

went to see this at my local Odeon.

I'd like to thank them for wasting 45mins of my life.

Film set to start at 815,by 9 it started, after endless adverts and trailers for bad films........

Rant over.

Anyway.

A really good film.

This film has some top drawer actors.

Gary Oldman acts it beautifully.

As do Tom Hardy and Benedict Cummerbatch.

There is a central cold war spy story to the film, but it is as much a film about the paranoid relationship between the factions within the secret services.

Smiley represents the old style, while others want him gone, and his methods also.

This is also a large part of the film, the change from the old to the early 70's brave new world.Staunch old men trying to get used to liberated times.

Tomas Alfredson is the star of this film.

His direction is a high style, slow paced masterpiece.

Deliberately allowing the viewer to work things out, rather than filling in plot points.

The cinematography has a flavour of the end of a colonial power.

Each players deep seated regret at the things they had done is evident, and throughout the film each contemplates the deeds done for the job.

Excellent.
