CigarCanuck Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Good Day, I wanted to share with you all my experience at a cigar lounge in Stamford, CT. Stamford is about an hour away from New York City. I was here because of a business trip, and did some research before arriving. I found that there was a lounge 2 minutes from the hotel I was staying at. The lounge was open and inviting as soon I arrived inside. The owner greeted me immediately and showed me around the place. He did notify me that there would be a $20 cutting fee if I wanted to smoke my own cigars. Coming from Canada, this seemed like a real treat. I happily paid for the fee, and proceeded to sit down. The owner brought me a drink, and mixed nuts to enjoy. Along with the tools of the trade to enjoy my experience. The hockey game was on Toronto vs. New Jersey. I sat and enjoyed a wonderful custom Hamlet. The Hamlet has amazing caramel, cream notes that remained fairly consistent with a bit of spice to add some interest. All in all a fabulous place to sit enjoy both your own or house brands. The house brand cigars are custom dominicans with brazil wrappers. They are a nutty flavour with some cream and woody notes. I found the cigars to be wrapped a little looser than I would like. Its a good thing I brought my forbidden fruits. So far I've enjoyed the following at the lounge. I've had an Edmundo, Sir Winnie, Hamlet, and a D4. I took a picture of the place with my phone using the photosync app to give you an idea of the layout in the lounge. If you are ever in Stamford and looking for a place to relax. Check out Cincinatti Cigary Company at 43 Bank Street. Cheers everyone, CC
riazp Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Great find, THanks for sharing CC, i might have to check it out next time i'm in the NYC area
SigloIII Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 If you are still in ct I highly recommend the owl shop in new haven. I do not know of any cutting fees since I have a locker but I have never heard of one. They also have live jazz bands a few nights a week. http://owlshopcigars.com/
mdzotti78 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Looks like a nice place, but a $20 cutting fee seems high. The Owl Shop in New Haven is a great place and I always stop there when I'm in town. And there is no cutting fees. If you are ever in the Hartford Area, I recommend my B&M Mickey Blakes. My link Awesome place to have a smoke and hit some golf balls.
Rider1 Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Thanks for sharing! I live about 15 minutes from there but didn't even know it was there. Looks nice - I will have to check it out.

It can get a bit full in there but it is nice to sit out side and smoke in the summer.
