JuniorSmoker Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Hi everybody, I guess after reading in this great forum and silently participating in your community it's about time to give a short introduction of myself ;-) I'm currently living in Shanghai (China) and have been into cigars for about 10 years now. Originally I'm from Berlin (Germany) and have lived there the majority of my life till now. Seems like I'm getting more and more into cuban cigars and that's a good thing (even though my bank account would maybe say differently, as the frequency of buying is getting higher and higher and I'm seriously running short on storage capacity). Really looking forward to share our passion for cigars with some knowledgable guys...good that I found this place... Oliver

bassman Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Welcome to FOH Oliver. I was in Shanghai several times between 1983 & 89. Probably wouldn't recognize it now with all the development.

JuniorSmoker Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 Hi Ghabanos, I'm maybe not the best source of information for the best smoking places in town but places I enjoyed so far are the bar of the JC Mandarin, bar on the top of the Ritz Carlton in Pudong, nice Jazz Club Cotton Club and one of my favorite places is the Constellation Bar where you can also have a nice whiskey with your cigar if your into it. Are you coming to SH from time to time ? Maybe we'll find the time to smoke then one day. Oliver

Ghabanos Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 This time it is for a friends wedding so I am only there for 2 days. I arrive tonight at 6-7 ish and hit the hotel by 8-9ish. I'm going to try the Roosevelt if I can get a reservation. Brought some personal stash too given that many places are smoke friendly... A trust pack 5 QDO coronas. Siglo 6. A Genios and given this a holiday for me I also brought bhk52. This is going to be a great two day smoke for me... PM if there are any shanghaiers that might want to get together... Should have messaged earlier but schedule just freed up a bit. Engagement tomorrow night but u have the rest free...
