Cigars as luxury items - what is sown is what is reaped.....

Agree. They are being marketed as such and will hurt them overall. Hanging on to the next big revival being Cuban cigars in the US, is like chasing rainbows.

Boom or Bust almost every Hotel has one, they are alot of fun and a necessity for most Casinos. I'm headed out in a few weeks and can't wait for my first stick at Rhumbar at the Mirage, no better place in America to light up undisturbed!

I love smoking cigars in Vegas. Casa Fuente and Rhumbar are two great spots to kick back and enjoy a fine cigar. While you can smoke in certain areas of the casino floors, it ruins my experience when people are giving me the evil eye or waving their hands in front of their face.

I've had some really enjoyable cigar smoking experiences in Napoleon's Lounge at Paris in Vegas. I wonder if it is still there and cigar-friendly. The dueling pianos act wasn't particularly good, but smoking there when the piano's weren't dueling was great.

Napoleon's is still cigar friendly and the dueling pianos are still as you remember. Better choices are Casa Fuente, Rumbar and the new Crystals lounge in The Cosmopolitan.

My next visit won't be until CES in January '12 :(

thechenman,

I am actually interested in trying some of those Fuente sticks that are exclusively available at Casa Fuente. Im not sure what they are called. If you've had them, what did you think of them?

Plato, they are quite good - very similar to an Opus X but with a different wrapper. I would recommend to try the Lanceros, if you can. Pricey stuff, though.

I took this to PM so as to not clutter up Rob's thread too much :)

I'll be down for CES as well. I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and had the Fuente Opus X double robusto that is exclusive to Casa Fuente, very good but like most Opus X's it was very strong. Best after a big steak dinner at Joe's in the forum shops.

Plato...

There are some places on line where you can find the Casa Fuente cigars, but the prices are ridiculous. The cigars themselves in LV are already high priced. Best bet is to have someone who is going to Vegas help you out by picking some up for you. I'd send you some myself, but I'm all tapped out. I'll keep you in mind though on my next trip out.

Rhumbar and Casa Fuente are always on my to do list when in Vegas. I'll be there Oct 18-21. I haven't been to Crystals at the Cosmo yet, I'll check that place out next week.

I also like to have a smoke at the piano bar next to the Bellagio front lobby. it's cigar friendly, and a good spot to people watch.
