Was thinking of picking up a box of Fonseca Cosacos. I'd like a mild and uneventful cigar from time to time and thought the cosacos would fit the bill. Any thoughts? -Karl

Cosacos are fantastic with five years or more on them. Lots of bread, tea, and earth to a medium body. Before then they could be bitter and over tannic. Get the no.1. Before they can no longer be found.

Another vote for the #1. I prefer stronger cigars, but the #1, while pretty mild for my taste, is quite complex & a lot of cigar for the cost. Nice morning smoke.

I would GREATLY recommend getting the Fonseca No.1. The Cosacos are really very dull, flavorless, and don't have much going for them as far as a Habano cigar is concerned. Despite known disagreement I would give the Montecristo Opens a better recommendation than the cosacos. I got a special on 5 (5 packs) of them and gave the bulk away, they were so un-enjoyable. JM2C

Agreed. I got several 10 or so year-old Cosacos 5-packs a while back. Bread and tea for sure with raw cinnamon or ginger-snap. And toasty tobacco. They taste great.
