tempbond Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Please help me by explaining why these 2 cigars are different even if they're the same cigar They were bought at the same LCDH in Cuba, the double banded one in March from a box and the single banded one from a 3 pack bought in August. I know by having read this post by Punch Joe (post) that the single brown band means it shoulb an old Mag 46, but the packaging of the 3 pack seems brand new (ie not worn). I don't know what to think.
tempbond Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 But how can the single banded Mag 46 be old if the 3 pack has the new hologram seal on it ? (Sorry, just noticed that ...)
Orion21 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 My guess? They ran out of the old packaging before they ran out of the old bands, so there was an overlap. Anyone else?
goalie204 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 My tv is 3 or 4 years old, it doesn't look worn either When things are taken care of sometimes it's hard to tell that 3 pack box looks old as sh1t to me tho

That's nice, no waiting 5 years to smoke them !!!
goalie204 Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 its also got the Box Seal - Second Type 2005 to circa 2008/9
tempbond Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 Anyone know how old this cigar is ?
riazp Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Judging by the band its probably a 2005-2006...they stopped that brown band in 2006...looks like you found a nice little score there Seb!

riazp Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I dont know what you mean sigloIII...the brown labels on upmanns were from pre-1960 to 2006 according to trevors website, and Tempbond bought this 3 pack directly from cuba.
Smallclub Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 I thought the brown labels were from the Swiss market? There is no specific "labels" or bands for the swiss market. I guess you're confusing with the excise band placed on every single cigar in the Benelux.
