Rushman Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 My fiancé is lucky enough to be good friends with Carlos and was fortunate enough to meet and spend time with Don Alejandro before he passed. I have yet to make my first trip to Cuba but when I do, Laura and I hope to take part in the longest ash contest he spoke of. Thanks for the post.
Tarks Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Thanks for posting the video. I had not seen this one yet. I always enjoy talking to Carlos while I'm in Havana. So much knowledge in that man. Speaking of long ashes, this is Carlos enjoying a long ash last winter. I can't wait to get back there in a few months.
DblToro Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Very nice to watch and nice pic of the ash. He says it is the climate and soil. Could not agree more. I often wonder how they treat the soil or re mediate it with anything. Must be trade secrets.
