The forces of darkeness decended on Australian Cricket grounds a few years ago.

Our local cricket ground "The Gabba" is an intimate 34000 stadium which has always been a raucously good time. Now as we all know, Cricket can have some seriously quiet sessions on the field where not too much goes on.

This is when the crowd is at its best! Fueled by sunshine, a few beers and good cheers the blow up dolls/beachballs would come out and be passed around the stadium, trumpeters in the crowd would let fly etc etc. Part of the charm!

But them came Darth Vader. Security ring the field and at the first sight of a beachball or blow up doll they attack and spike it as if a terrorist at an airport. The trumpeter located by security camera's and escorted from the stadium. Camera's scan the faces in the crowd looking for anyone having a good time as if it is the first sign of trouble.

Crowds plummeted.

How refreshing this is :wink2:

Saw this vid a couple of days ago and I gotta say, that security gaurds has got some moves!

I can't help but think it was staged, but it was refreshing to see security getting into the spirit of things!
