investandprosper Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I definitely agree with some of the opinions given. For me, the most chocolate I have ever experienced in a cigar was the Montecristo Sublime EL 2008. I did a review a month or so ago, and with my eyes closed I could not tell the difference between the aroma of the cigar, and the aroma of an actual piece of chocolate. Aside from that, the Mag 46, Bolivar Petit Belicoso 2009, Mag 48 2009, Monte 2, and Bolivar Corona Gigante have all been excellent examples of chocolate in a cigar.
thechenman Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 For me it would be the Montecristo Sublime and the Bolivar Corona Gigante. These two are the freshest in my mind, so I figure I most closely associate these witht he chocolate flavor you are searching for.
mkz Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Cant believe no one mentioned the HdM Des Dieux when it comes to chocolate! Besides that, I´ll also say VR Famosos.
jedipastor Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I've gotten chocolate from a VR Famoso and a PSP2, even a PSD4 once. I'll occasionally see some in the stronger Bolivars as well (CE, PC, CG). But if you REALLY want chocolate, you're going to want to check out Nicaraguan cigars. Take Padron for example: natural wrappers will yield more of a powdered cocoa, maduros more of a semi-sweet (sometimes dark, sometimes even milk) chocolate.
