adic88 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 One of the few occasions i've done a review of a non-Cuban classic, the Arturo Fuente Anejo 49. Full pics and verdict found here http://mycigarblog.org/blog/?p=2136
aavkk Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 good review of a cigar I've never had. I just havent had the kind of complexity you describe in a NC. Glad you enjoyed it.
CigarmanTim Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I smoke a bunch of these. The 49 is my least favorite....too strong. The 55 is my favorite followed by the 77 - Shark and then maybe the 50. I've even smoke a Sand Shark which is the 77 in Camaroon. Impecable construction

I struggle to find NCs to be as complex as Cubans too. But there are a few exceptions, to my palate. The Fuente Opus and Anejos, the Padron Anniversarios.

Still so much power even after 8 years, no bad. Wonder when they'll turn to be more mellow. 15 years?
fred170 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Nice review. I happen to enjoy the AF Opus X #4. Good hearty smoke..Almost Cubanesque (if such a word exists...lol)
Charltonc Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I love the Fuente Anejo 46, Corona gorda 5.6 by 46. The Anejos from this past Christmas are smoking better than aged Anejo's. If you can find some from this past holiday season jump on them.
CDNeh Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Great Review, I had the chance to smoke one of these last week, I think it was from around 2009, very enjoyable, very smooth smoke with the standard excellent construction that Fuente also has as well as an flawless draw. Not overly strong or complex, but had sufficient evolution to keep one interested throughtout the journey. CDNeh.
thechenman Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I'm a huge fan of the all AF Anejos, my favorites though would be the No. 77 and No. 46 in that order.
ckearns Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Very nice review and it's great to have you back! I don't think I'm alone in saying your video reviews have been missed.
lancerv43 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Every review of yours I have seen have been very good. Keep em coming. That cigar looks and sounds great I need to get my hands on some.
adic88 Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 Very nice review and it's great to have you back! I don't think I'm alone in saying your video reviews have been missed. Thanks CK. Been doing quite a number of reviews, but left them on my blog without linking them here as usual. Time has been tight with a new baby in the house!
Disburden Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Great quality on the video! I must say that I've never had any AFs before but you made me interested. Thanks for the time!
Diamondog Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Great review, impressive age, best maduro in the world...hope the fathers day release is out soon...
khamy Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Great review and the response to the vid means the AF Anejos will be another must try stick when I hit Vegas next week
