BobKincaid
Because I'm still growing my CC stash, I tend to go to an NC for ordinary daily smoking. I recently received a complimentary pack of 5 Vegas 5.5s. Not thinking much about them, I let them sit a few days in the humi and then fired one up on a whim. Wow. These things are excellently constructed, sharply box-pressed cigars with a Sumatran wrapper in the colorado range. Taffy candy sweetness is apparent in the pre-light scent and draw. They're medium-to-full bodied, with boatloads of smoke, a solidly stable ash, excellent construction, superb burn and tons of flavor. There's not a lot of transition or development, but there's a very nice, consistent spice quality of gingerbread alongside some horsey humus elements. Every once in awhile you get a very pleasant surprise and this is one of the best surprises I've received in a great long while. These 5 Vegas have a lot to recommend them where NCs are concerned. Did I mention they're also dirt cheap? They're dirt-cheap.

McNasty
Had a co-worker give me a few of these to try in August and had the same reaction as you. Didn't expect much given the price of them, but was pleasantly surprised. Don't use them as a daily smoke because I do get bored if I smoke them too often, but one every couple of weeks is a good. bud65
For a cheap but great tasting cigar you cant beat a Consuegra, I prefer the #30 and #17 Nattie.
