What cigar to buy

hey everyone I have to make a decision as to what box of cigars to buy. Right now I have two choices in mind the first is two boxes of 25 San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe or a single box of Partagas Series D #4

what do you guys think if you have anything that you think is good and in the same price range please feel free to make a suggestion

Wish I could help, but I have a problem deciding what to buy myself.

I can vouch for the El Principe, it's a great little smoke and I would suggest that as a purchase, especially if you are fairly new to cigars. The Principes were one of my first box purchases and I found them to be great smokes and good for learning to identify flavors and complexity, as they have a few quite clearly defined flavors. They a quality value smoke, but I wouldn't say to buy two boxes of them. Try something else out also.

I suggest going to the Czar's website(Click on Cigar Shop in the upper left hand corner of your screen) and looking into purchasing on of the "Splits" boxes. You'll get 5 each of 5 different brands of cigar. It gives you an opportunity to try mulitiple types of smokes without having to buy multiple boxes. I can vouche for the Robusto Splits, and there are some excellent smokes in there, I personally enjoyed the Cohiba Robusto, the HDM Epicure #2 and the Bolivar RC. Good Luck

A split sampler pack is always a good way to go. If you don't see a particular split in the Czar shop then I am sure if you send an email to Lisa she would be able to help you out.

I have been pondering the same question and I think I'm going with the Robusto Splits

I'm not sure what im going to do yet the robusto splits looks good but I don't know if I want order from Czar because the risk of being hit buy the insane Canadian duties :s

A major factor is which cigar do you like better? And if you haven't tried them, I'd get a sampler pack. I'd hate to buy 2 boxes & find out I didn't like the cigar. And for the record, neither of the cigars in question are favorites of mine, but I'm not buying them.

I can't speak for the duties, but I can tell you that if you order a split (and I think it is the best idea), you can bet that you will be getting great examples as CZAR's selection has never let me down.
