Just got a box of BRC's, Box Date POL SEP 2010: Man these cigars look absolutely amazing!! Seems to me that 2010 was a good year. Has anyone had a BRC from 2010? If so are they ready to smoke or do they need some time?

Pretty sure that is the same box code as my BRCs. I have had the box for a couple months but have been nervous to try them for fear they are so young. But it seems Vortigan has enjoyed his late 2010 BRCs so I'll probably be sampling mine soon enough. Might as well just try one and if they don't seem ready they can go back to sleep. On a side note I'm about to smoke a 2010 HDM Epicure No.2. I'll report back with how the young 2010s of those are doing.

I have a box from 2010 that looks and smells great but is brutally strong. Going to try another from the box in about 6 months to a year.

I have some from January '10 that are smoking great... in fact I set one our for tomorrow morning about an hour ago.

Have a box of POL MAY 2010 HQ that I received a few weeks back. Smoked two so far despite not letting them sit for a month.

Initial flavors have been awesome, but they have both ended up bitter by the final third.

Normally I would have waited butni have been hungry for something in this size from Cuba. That plus these are my first BRCs ever, and my curiosity got the better of me. As with most things Habano, I think patience wins, but my sense is that these 2010s will be very smokeable after they get used to my humidor.

08 are the best robusto i have smoked ...grab them if you can.

I have had the pleasure of trying brcs from 06, 08, 09, and now 10. 06, were amazing and 08 were rich and powerful. 09s were creamy and smooth. Trying the 10s this weekend. Thanks for all the advice.

06s are great, refined and smooth. 08s just smack you in the face.

I love BRCs! Looks like I have to get some '08s!!

I have late '09s which are nice already, and '10s which I have not yet sampled. This is a really great blend for me, though.

I have a box of the very same, and share your enthusiasm.

It's entirely possible they'll be god-cigars in two or five or ten years, but at present they have an excellent strength and character and for someone like me whose stash is as yet fairly small, they've proven to be magnificent strong smokes from the get-go. That, and I have absolutely NO patience. Leaving cuban cigars lay are, for me, the same as asking a kid on Christmas not to open his presents.

Smoked a 2010 Bolivar on Friday, very good. I think the cigar could rest another 6 months, but it was still fantastic. I dropped the cigar on concrete and it barley split. Another plus was the construction, the cubans are getting their act together, perfect draw with a touch of resistance and a perfect burn. Not to metion a solid ash. Happy I picked up a 2010 box. Love the Bolivar Marca
