now that the vile, toxic scum that was bin laden is currently having crabs feed on his remains, and thanks to whatever divine entity flicks your switch for that, how did you celebrate?

personally, a little fabulous lustau oloroso and then into the wonderful ardbeg 'airigh nam beist' 1990. matched with an old cohiba tubed siglo VI.

the sherry and the malt were very good but whacko, the cigar. i've a few of these, sadly not many, and i suspect they are '03s. not sure. i did get them in havana in the early days of this release. it was unbelievable honey and cream. (in wine terms, the equivalent of a great laflaive chevalier miontrachet - that same peaches and cream flavours).

this was an amazing cigar. waves of spiced honey and rich, rich creamy notes. i almost fired up another. a cigar of honey and cream and a malt of smoke. what a combo!

if this wasn't one of the fabled '03s, then whatever release it was is equally deserving of the rep.

clive james said, 'no one gets out of here alive'. too true but i'm glad i'm revelling in these ratrher than having starfish feed on my eyeballs.

a worthy way to celebrate an ex-murdering terrorist!

Today is also the birthday of one of my best friends, so there will be a festive party tonight. Starting off with a steak & lobster dinner, followed by a Partagas Lusitania and Cohiba Behike 52.

Another friend is bringing over two bottles of '05 Chateau Leoville las Cases, and I'll be bringing a bottle of '02 Fleur de Champagne. Should be fun times :D
