Hmm how can you tell from that distance? Though I've never really paid much attention to he read deal and the one above. In person might be easier to do.

Behold the behike!

Crafted from Cuban tobacco, produced in limited quantity (unless you're in the bahamas!), and packaged in a special box with serialized second band!

Pay up, suckas!

Kidding aside, to any who might have them, enjoy. This is a cigar I wouldn't mind seeing in a true blind tasting - not to see if it can be identified,

but just in comparison to a few others.

With how many or few (conjecture) might actually be smoked, it makes me wonder how good the cigars actually have to be - they seem more a

conversation piece.

A guy on the C? forums said he just bought a set. Posts are relatively new. The photos are very similar too. :D

Guys, given that the images came from a personal hosting account and were posted for use on another forum, I've removed them.

Thanks.

no problem... sorry about that!

..bit of fun while it lasted; good call though.

It was a fun post. :D I'm surprised no one thought of it earlier.

Actually, it's a really interesting thread over there....

he paid $50,000 US, has already been offered $100k by some Russian guy for it, and based on the price they are going for as singles at the Lanesborough Hotel in London (at the moment more than £2000 per stick apparently), that makes the box possibly worth between $150,000 and $200,000 (and that's before the Chinese High-Rollers are factored in!)

makes his investment something of a bargain...

I'm wondering how good these are to smoke; possibly "only" same level as, say, the Gran Reserva.

not that we'll ever know, although here's a review by the guy in charge of the humidor at the Lanesborough (from a couple of years ago, which is why the price quoted is so cheap LOL!)

Yeah, I've been posting to that thread there myself. (same username). Great review too, though I would like to see a review done without a drink pairing to really capture the properties of the cigar. IMO alchhol could skew what is being experienced on the palate.

right.... I agree.

there's quite a surprising interview with one of the world's most prolific cigar collectors (although he and his father actually smoke them); I know that Coca Cola is his drink of choice to pair with his cigars (and when I say cigars I mean CIGARS!)

This it spite of the fact he is also a prodigious wine and fine spirits collector too....

I guess you CAN make money investing in cigars if you have the self control not to smoke them. I've only ever bought one cigar strictly for investment- a cab of 98 Punch SS#2s. I knew self control wouldn't be an issue because I really don't like them.

if i were a rich man.... i would buy them and use them to light fireworks. 'cause that's how I roll! B)
