Hello all,

I though it would be interesting to hear about your first experiences with cigars (what brand, size, detectable flavours and impressions etc..)

My first cigar was about 2 years ago while on a sweet vacation to Punta Cana. I went to the hotel lobby to find a really classy looking cigar lounge. I looked around for about 30 minutes before picking up a 3 pack of Cohiba Siglo II for 95$ US. I smoked those sticks like there was no tomorrow, all three in 1 night. My girlfriend knew this was the point of no return. The following day, I decided I was going to get a box. As I hinted earlier, cigars at this store was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. As a newcomer to the enjoyment of cigars, I thought this was normal and I was more than happy to splurge considering this was a vacation. Not realizing 1. These were overpriced 2. I would enjoy cigars so much that 2 years later, I would laugh at spending 100$ on cigars. Now, back to my second purchase, I ended up buying a box of 10 La Aurora Crystals for over 160$ (which can be bought for under 60$) From that day, cigars have been nothing but fascinating tobacco tubes. For me, cigars bring excitement, flavours, down time, friends, laughs, drinks, great conversations & most importantly it bring memories. I will never forget my first cigar.

I would love to read some of your stories.
