First Lady Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Has anyone seen this and what did you think???? I had no intention in watching this movie but my sister in law brought it around so we though why not, I was so surprised that I loved it... It is violent yes but the movie was brilliant and not anything I have ever seen. They wanted to shock and boy they did that Nicholas Cage is fantastic in this (I am a die hard Nicholas cage fan ) but the little girl was fantastic and what an amazing actress
thechenman Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 The movie was pretty good and I enjoyed it, but if you want a real kick...real the comic book. It blows the movie away. I know it has been published in graphic novel form so you don't have to hunt down the individual issues.
CBL Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Loved the movie! Can't wait for the sequel. I've seen the graphic novel in some shops, pretty bad ass stuff indeed! Hope I can pick one up some day, together with Watchmen

shawnbc Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I'm not a Cage fan but I have to say that I liked this movie. It isn't what it looks like it is, at all. Very surprising. You really get shocked when the guy gets stabbed in the alley and the whole movie changes suddenly.
Habanakane21 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Good movie! loved the little girl whooping ass!
mazolaman Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Really good, really funny film. loved our hero, the failing superhero, ashe practices his moves and stuff. Also all the references to other films.
peanutpete Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 it a great film i did not think i would enjoy it what with not being a nic.Cage fan. the stuff that comes out of the girls mouth is shocking dont no why as we hear it all the time, but i guess not by little girls on film
AntiVirus Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I had no intention in watching this movie but my sister in law brought it around so we though why not, I was so surprised that I loved it... I had the same feeling I thought great its going to be another failed superhero movie, and then my brother gave it to me, so I was obliged to watch it. Glad I did, turned out to be one of the best movies I have watched in the last few years.
Peter11216 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 My wife and I watched this last month. I knew nothing about it, aside from seeing a few posters for the movie. I assumed it was a comedy making fun of superhero movies, a genre I don't really care for. We were both surprised that we liked it. mdzotti78 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 This was sitting at my house in a Netflix envelope for weeks before I finally decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did. I loved this movie. Loved the action, the gore, and the comedy. I wish Cage's character did croak.
Fitz Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Love it, absolutely hilarious film. Any film where a 12 year old girl bursts her way into a room of armed gang - bangers, wielding a bladed staff and then says 'Ok you ****s, lets see what you can do...' before proceeding to dismember every one of them, is cool with me.
ckile2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 the girl is scary She could kick some ass. Great movie though.
