BHK54 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Have been smoking quite some MC Open Masters and recently have faced some draw line problems. During the smoke I have had to correct it quite many times ... Have anyone else faced that or is it just me ?
Onsto Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I'm not sure there's too many on the forum that smoke the Open line often enough to comment. That said, I've had a couple and the only thing I liked about them was the construction, which was excellent. Flavours were (IMHO) sub par, to the point of bland.
thechenman Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 My suggestion...toss them or gift them to a hated enemy...

asudevil08 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 LOL ... I might any suggestions with what I should replace them with? I have a few Mexican Te Amo's I'd be willing to trade you
tmac77 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 LOL ... I might any suggestions with what I should replace them with? Anything that is not in the Monte Open line. If you do want to stay with the Monte's though, you would be better served going with an Edmundo. It is a bit biger than the Open Master but a much nicer smoke IMO.

josie67 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Funny thing about this cigar. I had one during the Montecristo Gran Reserva gala dinner in Havana in February. I thought it was really nice, although it may have had something to do with the 5 drinks I had before I smoked it lol
jnt Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I find the Opens to be the worst Cubans out there. If burn issues were the problem, I'd be OK with that. THe fact they are flavourless, and filled with ammonia is my big issue.

THe fact they are flavourless, and filled with ammonia is my big issue. To be honest I have only smoked about 10 Masters since release. I found the construction to be quite good and can not recall a burn problem. I have a myriad of other well documented problems witht this cigar and the line in general
