Been looking at maybe getting a box of these and was wondering if the flavor profile is the same as the Monte #2? I personally do not like the "Twang taste" that is associated with the number 2, and have yet to try another Monte cigar. Just curious to see what others think.

From my experience, the Edmundo is similar in certain flavour profile (mainly the bean/cocoa taste) but the Edmundo has differences also. I find the Edmundo to be a bit on the mild/medium side, but still very enjoyable. Overall I would say that I prefer Edmundos over No.2 because Edmundos consistency is much higher. That being said, a great Edmundo will never outscore a great No. 2.

Maybe you can consider buying Montecristo Edmundo Tubos 3 pack. Or you can buy a 15 pack of Edmundo tubos. You decide. Lastly, in my opinion, you can't go wrong with an Edmundo.

Completely agreed with all of Smokes' points. A 3-pack is a great starter with these.

Even though I haven't tried lots of Edmundos (around 5 or 6) I tend to find them a tad un-montecristo like. Maybe that's just me... I have always love the brand (Monte 4, 2 and especially the especial) and even if they are a bit (some say a lot) inconsistent, I much rather risk my self for that gorgeous Monte 2 that Rob has hidden under his desk! Yes we are on to you Rob!

But your palate is always the only valid opinion, and I'm with everybody else, buy a 3 pack and judge for yourself :)

I've smoked many Monte 2s and Edmundos. Both share that characteristic Monte profile in my opinion, but in the Edmundo is is toned down quite a bit. The Edmundo is lighter than the No. 2 as well, at least IMHO. I like them both, but prefer the No. 2.
