A good friend of mine is having a cigar theme wedding in October. As a groomsman, I have volunteered to look into the groomsmen outfits. We have already ordered the Panama hats. Next is to select some nice guayaberas.

Of course I am searching google, but there are literally thousands of results and a lot of crap to weed through. I'm hoping someone here has some experience with guayaberas and can point me in the right direction.

Here are the critera:

Groom will wear an ivory shirt; groomsmen will wear brown

Shirts cannot be see-through. Models can be seen wearing an undershirt on so many guayabera sites.

Long sleeves required

Prefer something stylish but simple (no gaudy patterns)

Budget is flexible, but we would like to keep it around $100 per shirt

I will send a little reward to whoever finds the perfect match. In the meantime, I'll keep looking...

A popular online cigar store is running a closeout on the Cohiba guayaberas. However, they have only white and black left. Maybe this helps...

Thanks Lotusguy, I did see that site. I found Guayabera Lady on another forum. Her services interest me. I'm going to get a quote from her and I'll take it from there. I will keep you all posted along the way.

check out www.cubavera.com I think that is where my wife and her mother buy shirts for the men in their family. The "see-through" are linen. Unless you are one of the models, you should wear a v-neck undershirt! Good luck and enjoy. My wife and her family are cuban. Our wedding was AMAZING! party favors were cigars!

My friends wedding was in a very similar theme. I was also part of the groomsmen and all of us were wearing guayaberas. We got all our shirts from http://www.mycubanstore.com/ The quality of their shirts was impeccable. The shirts were exactly what we were looking for in terms of price, quality, comfort and style. I am sure they will be able to assist you in all your need as they were extremely helpful when I was dealing with them. Check them out http://www.mycubanstore.com/
