Very nice! I think you will be happy with it. I did a similar purchase, but it was for a wine cabinet. Needless to say, I am very happy with it. Once your humi arrives, you'll be happy you did it ;)

Holysmokes,

Congrats on your purchase. Those are definitely some nice units that Bob puts together. Well done. Sorry for any fate that may befall you from your wife, but that's another story.

But I do have a question....

Why did you choose to go with the temperature controlled version, and thereby spend the extra bucks???

Now, I don't want to dissuade you from your purchase, or to try to talk you down from a sale for Bob. But, with where you live, do you really have a need for a temperature controlled version? I live in southwestern Ontario, south of you, and my cabinet doesn't need temperature control at all - it's in a finished basement rec room, and my whole house is air conditioned and climate controlled, so there's no reason for my humidor cabinet to be so also.

Just honestly curious, that's all.

Well, I will give you an example. Tonight I checked my Humi and the temperature reads 71. Which is obviously too high. And this is during the winter. During the summer my humidor gets really warm (can climb up too 78) So I decided that I no longer wanted to EVER worry about temperature or humidity levels. From what I hear with the Aristocrats, I can now safely do that. Also, a tempered humidor will be excellent for aging a bunch of boxes.

Wow, okay. Completely understood then. I just figured for where you live, that it wouldn't be an issue. Do you live in an apartment then, and/or not have a finished rec room / basement? That's the best option for around our area, IMO. With mine sitting where it is, the temps are generally 66/67 in the winter, and then tops out at 70/71 in the summer. With RH around 65%, this is more than workable. My coolerdor, in the basement crawlspace / winerack, sits at 61-64 F, year round, with 64/65 % RH also.
