dB69 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 A cigar older than me. Cold scent very strong sweetness with tobacco. After cutting the scent is overripe apples with syrup and some leather. Same taste on nicely tight cold draw. Strongly toasted tobacco and light nuts. Also a tiny amount of dry hay. Very old, I could almost say ancient, cheese. Lots of fruitiness - many different fruits, which are fresh and sweet. Pepper jumps in. Nuts and mushrooms. On the background there is some unknown sweetness. The smell in the room is like clean sheets which have been kept in a closet for a long time?!?!?! (Am I going nuts or what is this?) Salty soil and toffee with pepper. Chocolate. Very soft tobacco only. Pepper shows up every now and then. Soil with cinnamon. In my mouth there is very strong and sweet tobacco taste. I smoked a couple of cigars in the 80's and they tasted just like this, I haven't remembered it in a while. Ginger. Tarry tobacco. Creaminess. The body has become very strong. Clove. Heavy toasted bread. Strange purple sweetness in the background, I don't know what it could be. Coffee. Stack of wet and yellowed leaves of birch. Tobacco taste which my grandfather used to smoke some 30 years ago. Burning time 1:25. The whole cigar had almost all the time some very strange and randomly changing sweet flavours. It was very strange. I didn't expect anything like this and I don't know what to say. This was just a very different experience compared to any other cigar I have ever smoked. I also expected mellow flavours, but this was quite strong. I am confused!
